Let’s just pretend my hair isn’t fading to this weird orangey color, that it needs dyed a different color super badly and my three inch mousy brown roots aren’t showing mkay. Had a refreshing walk through Veteran’s Park earlier between classes. Just some much needed time to myself and some relaxed spontaneous picture therapy to make me feel better, (and to prove to myself that I CAN take a simple, simple portrait) even if my face is whack.

I missed posting a real conceptual photo this week, I know. I went out three days trying to accomplish four separate photo ideas and they all failed miserably. I have all of these great ideas in mind and it pains me a lot more than usual to come home after trudging through a spider-ridden forest, walking through a beach getting weird looks or getting kicked out of a park with nothing to show but bug bites and an empty SD card after deleting my failures. Sometimes simple is okay.

So I figured I would just throw up what the last few days have been like. And I promise I will have something better to show next week/this week. I've got some ideas I'm really excited to try harder to illustrate! Next Friday is my last day of summer classes and I'm making a candid stop motion video of the camping trip I'm going on with my boyfriend, his mom and some friends, which can only provide me with even more inspiration. I know I don't have like eight million contacts like the big guys, but I can't even tell you enough how much I appreciate the support I have gotten. You make me confident that I can do this.
